BACKGROUND
Born and raised in Henan, China, I received my B.S.E. in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Michigan and my B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Shanghai Jiao Tong University in 2020. In my leisure time, I am a landscape and cityscape photographer with several works published in a world-renowned photography gallery. I also have a passion for classical music and painting.
RESEARCH
I am currently pursuing my Ph.D. degree in Aeronautics and Astronautics at the Gas Turbine Laboratory (GTL). My research interests include air-breathing propulsion, aerodynamics, aeroacoustics, and turbomachinery. I am working on a project about an integrated boundary-layer ingesting propulsion system for electric aircraft. The goal is to assess the optimum number and arrangement of fans to yield the most integration benefit while mitigating the distortion challenge.
